Pack your bags. Let's take a ride. 5 minutes fly and we'll explore the wide with Forrest Kelly. It's travel time. It's The Best 5 Minute Travel Podcast. Let's go.

Kevin Duran:

So the website is www.jkw vacationclub.

Forrest Kelly:

Okay.

Kevin Duran:

Vacation as soon as you get. Yep.

Forrest Kelly:

And then club is singular as well. So jkw vacation club.com vacation club. So you sign on and boom, you come to a beautiful website that says.

Kevin Duran:

Explore, stay and save.

With jkw we help community minded travelers enjoy more affordable getaways by offering a rentals and membership program that connects them with exclusive properties, member benefits and a personalized service.

Forrest Kelly:

We've already heard about the personalized service. What should we do? Once you go to the website you scroll down and just kind of check everything out or what do you suggest that they do?

Kevin Duran:

As soon as you hop on the website you're going to have two options that says book with us today. That takes us to your rental side. So the short term rentals you can see the wide variety of properties we have.

Or you can go over to our join our membership. That takes you to where it breaks down into our subscription. Our Explorer membership grants you 21 days at all.

JKW properties will include a couple's massage, a welcome package and a few other benefits. But that comes out to $416 monthly. I mean that's like on an annual agreement and that can be paid you know, on front monthly or quarterly.

But the cool thing about that is with our membership we to create community, we want people to travel with other people, families to connect. So our memberships are up to six members in a household or six members. If you say children 18 and under don't take up a membership slot.

So basically let's say two families, two couples, they can go on a membership together or six friends all chipping in on a membership.

That $416 monthly subscription comes down to $70 per person to have access to luxurious vacations all across Mexico with some added benef value benefits as well.

Forrest Kelly:

So the membership minimum is a year?

Kevin Duran:

Yep. You know we're in our, in our startup phase. So just the year commit straight transparent pricing.

Then afterwards once you've used up all your your dates kind of taking a backtrack and also going back into like the inspiration. I took this idea. I'm a big skier, big snowboarder. I'm a professional snowboard coach for 10 years now. Also a major league rugby referee.

But I took this membership model from the ski pass design. You know you have an X amount of dates at X amount of res for this certain fee.

With the ski membership model, you know it's seasonal, so once the resort closes, it's done. But with us, you can use these 21 days, for example, all across the calendar year.

So you're slowly paying for your vacation throughout the year, if you could say.

Forrest Kelly:

And with that fee, are you getting maintenance fees, ground fees, all the fees that are associated with timeshare?

Kevin Duran:

No, sir. The only fee that members have to pay is just the cleaning fee and we waive that if they're staying a week or longer.

Forrest Kelly:

Wow.

Kevin Duran:

And rough cleaning fee is ranging from 80 to $100.

Forrest Kelly:

Yeah, you got to pay a service to come in and take a couple hours to wash the linens and sanitize everything. So that's, that's reasonable. That's not, not exorbitant. Like the Marriott, I've stayed there before. And that cleaning fee is not that price.

Kevin Duran:

Again, this is, this model is meant for just longer term.

And if you're close, for example, Phoenix, like, we have a lot of weekend warriors that come down to our properties and just, they want to escape the Phoenix heat. So they come down for two days, three days, and then they're back to work at the start of the week. Meanwhile, we do.

And so it's great for them, they just come in, plop down, and then head back home and then do it the following, the following weekend.

Whereas we have some people that travel, some of our Salt Lake City members, they fly down to Phoenix and then drive down to Rocky Point on one of our shuttle services. Therefore, it's a longer travel period. So they, they typically tend to spend seven days there. So we waive the, we waive the fee.

Forrest Kelly:

The other membership besides the four?

Kevin Duran:

et cruise. That comes down to:

And again, that can be split up to six ways. So that's just an increase in dates. And then the voyage membership, that's more of our B2B.

So if you have a business, this is great because you can incorporate that as an employee incentive program. We also can write it off as a tax write off and then also think about corporate gifting.

So if you're a business owner trying to close a deal or saying thank you to a client, you can use your membership for those business purposes. And we'll take care of your clients or guests from point A to point B as well. Just.

And they will be receiving the same high standard value service as you'd be receiving as well. So if you're really trying to take your business off as well.

Forrest Kelly:

Yeah, exactly. Nothing says thank you very much for a very productive sales year than putting your toes in the sand and having a massage book for later.

Kevin Duran:

Absolutely.

Forrest Kelly:

We've touched down and landed the episode done with five quick minutes of travel and fun.

Kevin Duran:

This is your channel speaking. We have cut it down. That completes this episode.
